The stage is officially set for next week’s Season 10 finale of The Masked Singer. The remaining members of Group C — Anteater, Candelabra and Donut — returned on Wednesday for one last showdown to determine which of them would proceed to the finals. And by the end of the hour, two of the celebrities were unmasked for all the world to see.
Anteater was the first to be eliminated, despite delivering a solid performance of Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode” earlier in the night. The farming fuball was revealed to be none other than classic rocker John Oates!
This left Candelabra, who kicked off the “soundtrack to my life” episode by blowing the judges away with a powerful take on Mary J. Blige’s “I’m Goin’ Down,” to battle against Donut, who made everyone emotional with his beautiful delivery of Ray Charles’ “Georgia On My Mind,” which he once again dedicated to his late wife (aka his “smile”).
Whether they made this decision with their ears or their hearts remains up for debate, but the votes shook out in favor of Donut, leaving Candelabra to reveal herself as R&B singer Keyshia Cole!
Thus, Donut was left standing as the sole survivor of Group C, sending him through to next week’s finale, where he’ll face off against Cow, Gazelle and Sea Queen. (But who is Donut? Click here if you want to be spoiled. We’re pretty sure we’ve got this one figured out.)
