WARNING! THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS ABOUT BIG BROTHER 26!
Big Brother season 26 host Julie Chen Moonves thinks that Chelsie Baham should've targeted Makensy Manbeck during the double eviction instead of Angela Murray. During the Big Brother season 26 double eviction episode, in the first eviction, Chelsie achieved her goal of evicting Leah Peters after convincing Head of Household (HOH) Makensy to use the Power of Veto to save Kimo in order to get Leah out of the house. Then, Chelsie won the second HOH competition and sent Angela out the door. The final five Big Brother 26 houseguests are Makensy, Chelsie, Kimo Apaka, Rubina Bernabe, and Cam Sullivan-Brown.
In an interview with EW, Julie shared that she believes that Chelsie made a mistake by not targeting Makensy during the double eviction. Julie explained that her "big takeaway" from double eviction night was that "Chelsie did not take a shot at her biggest competition to win it all…Makensy!" She said, "Chelsie could have easily double-crossed her by nominating Angela and Makensy. Chelsie would have conceivably had Cam, Kimo, and Rubina all vote to evict comp-beast-in-the-making Makensy."
Julie then attempted to make sense of Chelsie's decision not to target Makensy when she was ineligible to play for HOH and vulnerable. She said, "This tells me either Chelsie feels a sense of loyalty to Makensy…OR she decided there wasn’t enough time in a live double eviction show to massage the situation and get away with it unscathed."

When Makensy went along with Chelsie's plan to evict Leah, many Big Brother 26 live feeders believed that she'd tanked her game. Leah would've been loyal to Makensy, and she was a guaranteed number for her and jury vote. They thought that her betrayal would lead to her elimination during the double eviction.
However, the fact that Chelsie didn't target Makensy in any way during the double eviction, and even went along with Makensy's original plan to get Angela out of the house, proved that Makensy didn't make a mistake. Chelsie kept Makensy safe because she followed through with the plan to get rid of Leah. In addition, Makensy would be more loyal to Chelsie than Angela, so Chelsie didn't make an error either. Makensy and Chelsie are both strategic players who win competitions, and they could easily make it to the final two versus Kimo, Rubina, and Cam. They'll protect each other.

Respectfully, Julie might be wrong that Chelsie should've targeted Makensy. Although it's possible that Chelsie will turn on Makensy if they make it to the end, she needs her right now in the game. She can't rely on Cam to win competitions, especially because he's only won one, while Makensy has won six.
Chelsie would easily win versus Kimo, Rubina, or Cam, but she has to get to the final two chairs first. Makensy is a great ally because she wins competitions, so she can help keep Chelsie safe. Otherwise, Makensy could decide to target Chelsie, especially because, as the outgoing HOH, Chelsie can't play in the week 11 HOH competition.
Chelsie and Makensy should stick with each other for now, even if they decide that they can't take each other to the final two. Chelsie made the right decision not to betray Makensy, and she proved that she's playing an honorable game when it comes to her allies. As Big Brother 26 continues, it's going to be very interesting to see if Chelsie and Makensy stay loyal to each other.
