Barry Keoghan to star in Irish thriller

Barry Keoghan is a busy man.

He’s riding the high from acclaimed flick Saltburn and is set to appear in the new Apple+ series, Masters of the Air.

We now have the details of his new film.

Of course, we’ll be absolutely glued to it!

He will appear in Irish thriller, Bring Them Down.

The synopsis for the film simply reads: “After his sheep are massacred by unknown men, an Irish shepherd is drawn into a devastating cycle of violence.”

Colm Meaney will also star in the movie.

“I can’t wait for audiences to see Bring Them Down very soon, and delighted the film is part of the Screen Ireland slate,” Barry said of the film.

“It’s an amazing time to be telling Irish stories. Being able to shoot at home with an Irish crew – who are some of the best in the world – is always incredibly special to me. I’m so proud to see how many new filmmakers and actors are coming out of Ireland, ready to take on the world.”

The project was announced with Paul Mescal and Tom Burke in the cast in March 2021. However, in 2023 it was confirmed that Barry would be replacing Paul and American actor Christopher Abbott replaced English Tom!

We’ll keep our eyes peeled for this flick!
